Unleash your creativity and join the ultimate challenge of crafting and competing! In this action-packed class, kids will work in teams to transform ordinary household items and “junk” into extraordinary inventions. From building bridges to designing vehicles, each session features a fun engineering challenge that encourages problem-solving, teamwork, and innovative thinking. With limited supplies and limitless imagination, kids will learn that sometimes the best ideas come from the most unexpected places. Ready, set, create—let the Junk Box Wars begin!

Summer 1: Geocache and Swimming - West Washington
West Bend is the Geocaching Capital of the Midwest; it is a treasure hunting game played with hand held GPS units. The class will search for hidden caches located within walking distance of the Y, then come back to cool down for a bit in the Family Adventure Pool. If weather is bad, class will do indoor scavenger hunting games and play games to learn how a compass works.

Summer 2: Ninja Gym
This class is designed to progress skills by incorporating strength and flexibility exercises through tumbling, jumping, swinging, and balancing drills. Small obstacle courses will be utilized to develop mobility, balance, power, strength and endurance. This class will teach kids the basics of becoming a ninja warrior.

Painting Picassos
Enrich your child’s view of their world through this unique art class where they learn about a different famous artist each week. Experiment with lots of different tools including brushes, hands and feet to create your very own masterpiece.
